BCEC Welcomes Dupree & Granberry to the Board of Directors

The Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative Board of Directors recently appointed Carla Dupree and Shep Granberry to fill the seats vacated by the passing of David Frost and Larry Wells. They both will be representing members who reside within Cass County.

Carla Dupree has lived in Cass County her entire life, growing up in Douglassville, TX. She is married to Scott, and they have a son named Davis. Throughout her career, Carla has consistently shown a strong dedication to education and a steadfast commitment to helping others. Over 29 years, she has worked as a teacher, elementary principal, high school principal, and assistant superintendent.

Shep Granberry is a dedicated entrepreneur from Atlanta, TX, with over 40 years of experience in public-facing roles. His career has been focused on constructing customized homes and businesses for clients. Shep is also an active volunteer, having served on the Board of the HUNTERBRAVE Scholarship Foundation for 7 years, and he has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Indian Hills Country Club. Outside of his professional life, Shep enjoys hunting, fishing, spending quality time with his grandchildren, and tending to his farm.

Shep and Carla equally demonstrate dedication to their community and are committed to the cooperative principles. They are both eager to start their new roles serving the members of the Cooperative they have been a part of their whole lives, continuing the mission of providing safe, reliable, and affordable electric service.
