Annual Meeting 2025
On Friday, October 10, 2025, members from across our service territory traveled to attend this year’s 88th Annual Meeting.
Annual meetings are a way for cooperatives to connect with their memberships on a more personal level. Cooperative staff can discuss developments within the co-op, meet new members, or reconnect with members who have been with the co-op for decades.
This year’s Annual Meeting was a big hit with everyone in attendance! We had 316 registered members, and their guests brought our total attendance to well over 700.
By attending, members received a new tote bag containing a car safety tool, a packable first-aid kit, a sunscreen/lip balm combo, and several other items. Those who registered were also entered into a drawing for numerous prizes, including our grand prizes of $250 & $500 worth of free electricity! Members also mingled with 21 local businesses that set up at our Business Expo. For entertainment, members and vendors enjoyed the musical talents of Danny Maxey and the Dancehall Troubadours. This year’s meal consisted of a burger meal prepared and served by BCEC employees.
During the business meeting, Bowie-Cass Board President Steve DeLaughter and General Manager/CEO Mark Boyd provided updates on the cooperative’s financial standing, the current state of the industry, and a glimpse of what’s coming down the pipeline over the next several years.
Overall, it was a fantastic event full of food, music, fellowship, prize giveaways, and so much more! Those of us here at BCEC would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our members who attended our 88th Annual Meeting. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!
