1/26/26 MORNING UPDATE 8:00AM
Who else was excited to see the sun this morning? We sure were! Wintry precipitation has moved on from our area, so ice and snow accumulations will thankfully stop. Even though the storm has passed, icy conditions will still remain and prove challenging. Temperatures are also not expected to climb very high today, so the bitter cold will be a challenge for our line crews and anyone working outside.
We have crews from Upshur Rural Electric, Farmer's Electric, and Heart of Texas Electric helping us today, with more crews coming in from Trinity Valley Electric and Grayson-Collins Electric. We are grateful for their support as we work to recover from Winter Storm Fern.
We expect to make decent progress today, BUT full outage restoration likely will still take a few days. Please plan accordingly.
