1/24/26 MORNING UPDATE

There are 4,414 meters without power due to significant ice build up on the lines, trees, and other equipment. As the day progresses, we are likely to see more outages. We will also be able to get a better idea on the current extent of damage in the daylight.

Our Bond and Lone Star substations are offline due to a tree that has fallen across the transmission lines. There are several reports of fallen trees/limbs across the territory, along with other damage.

Roads and other surfaces are icy and hazardous, which may impact travel times and outage location access. Our crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to all affected members, but please keep in mind that it will take time due to weather conditions. Freezing rain is expected to continue throughout the day with temperatures below zero and bitter cold wind chill values.
