As expected, the icy conditions are continuing to pose problems for our system and power restoration efforts.

Lone Star & Bond Substations- the broken transmission pole has been replaced along with crossarms on two other poles. Crews are working to get the lines back in the air so they can safely restore power.
There are at least 5 poles that need replaced; there will likely be more by the end of this weather event. Our contract right-of-way crews have stayed busy clearing trees from the lines and catching ice-laden problem limbs from outside of the right-of-way before they fall onto the line. Multiple jobs are requiring use of swamp equipment to reach. There is plenty of work to be done, but rest assured that our guys are on it!
It is important to keep your backup plans ready to go. Even with as hard as they are working, full power restoration cannot be guaranteed for today or overnight. The ice is continuing to accumulate on trees and lines, so more outages remain possible.
