Recently two of our linemen, Jake Aldridge and Colin Waldrop were awarded the Good Samaritan Award from Texas Electric Cooperatives Loss Control. On the morning of March 24, Jake and Colin were on their way to the Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative office. Leaving Maud on Hwy 8, they encountered an elderly woman driving in the wrong direction on the highway. They were able to guide her off the highway and called Bowie County Sheriff’s Department. The woman suffered from dementia. The action of Aldridge and Waldrop saved the woman from not only endangering her life but also the lives of others traveling the highway.
