Two is good, but three is better, at least when it comes to your Bowie-Cass account number. On May 21, Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative billing system will change the end of your member separator number, also known as account number, from two digits to three.
This seemingly simple change will allow the Cooperative to better serve a growing number of member-owners. Below are some questions and answers that will help you navigate through this change for the better.

When will this change occur?
Monday morning, May 21, beginning at 8 a.m. Bowie-Cass’ payment systems will be unavailable while the conversion occurs.

Why is Bowie-Cass changing member separator numbers?
This change is a result of a computer system upgrade that will allow Bowie-Cass to better serve a growing number of customers.

No. You do not need to do anything. Simply record your new account number for your records.

I make my payments with a credit card on the Bowie-Cass phone system each
month. What changes do I need to make?
After May 21st, it is important that you enter your new account number into the automated system to make your credit card payment. Our system will remind you to correct your entry if you use the old account number.
