Mark Boyd to be Cooperative General Manager

The Board of Directors for Bowie-Cass Electric Cooperative announced that Mark Boyd will be promoted to General Manager of the cooperative beginning January 1, 2012.  The selection of Mr. Boyd comes as Barron Christensen retires at the end of this month. 

Mr. Boyd has been serving as the Assistant Manager of the cooperative for the last six years. In addition to extensive training and experience in the rural electric cooperative industry, Mr. Boyd has an extensive background in both manufacturing and management.  He has a degree from Texas A&M University, graduated from Linden-Kildare High School, and has lived most of his life in Cass County.

 He is married to Beth Tyson. The couple has two children, both serving in the United States Marine Corp.  Daughter Katy is a Private First Class and son Matthew is a Corporal. In addition to his family Mark enjoys his church where he is an active member and Sunday school teacher. His hobbies include duck hunting and golf.
